Academy Overview

The Academy of Ballet Fantastique is a ballet training school for young artists. In our Professional Training Division, world-class ballet coaching in the internationally-recognized Vaganova Method professionally-modeled performances, and limited class sizes inspire dancers to their highest potential. We also offer unique dance classes and Fairytale Summer Ballet Camps for children ages 4 and up through our Young Dancer Program, with adult drop-in classes available through our separate Adult Ballet Program.

Ballet Fantastique was founded in 2000 by mother-daughter team Donna and Hannah Bontrager. Throughout the past decade, Ballet Fantastique has grown to house both its thriving Academy with professional dance instruction, and the Ballet Fantastique Chamber Company, comprised of professional dancers from across the Northwest and the U.S., and offering a full concert season at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts--and umatched performance opportunities and training for Academy of Ballet Fantastique students.

Limited class sizes and an uncompromising approach to building students' clear, confident technique and powerful artistry characterize what we do, and passion, commitment, and sincerity characterize how we do it. The Academy of Ballet Fantastique is proud to hold consecutive awards for Best Dance Instruction from the US Local Business Association.
