Ballet Fantastique believes that performance experience is a vital part of every young dancer’s artistic experience. With this in mind, we have a unique approach to performances, giving all students many opportunities to perform throughout the year, be it their own in-studio presentations for friends and family, or in professionally-modeled concerts in the Hult Center’s Soreng Theater as apprentices with our professional Chamber Company. Professional Division dancers at The Academy of Ballet Fantastique have performed with world-class groups including the Trio Voronezh and the Eugene Symphony, and have even toured with Ballet Fantastique to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (Don Quixote opening night June 2009)! This extensive performance experience instills our dancers with a sense of confidence and accomplishment as true artists and performers. Ballet Fantastique student dancers see their hard work in the Academy classroom come to fruition on stage as they earn accolades from each other, their audiences, and dance reviewers alike.
Another unique benefit of The Academy of Ballet Fantastique’s training program is that each of our student dancers age 14 and over receives solo performance coaching with Ms. Donna and Ms. Hannah. Dancers become confident not only as members of an ensemble, but also grow their skills and repertoire as solo performers.
