Auditions
Professional training in ballet is very rewarding, but is also very intellectually and physically demanding. Audition Placement Classes ensure a proper (and safe) match between the class and the student.

Auditions are required for placement in Ballet Fantastique's Professional Training Division, Professional Dancer Development Program, or Chamber Performance Ensemble. Out of state students may audition by video (see below).

Please bring your completed Ballet Fantastique Audition Form with you to your Placement Class (you may also complete the form at the studio). The fee for the Audition Placement Class is $12 and is non-refundable. Upon enrollment, this fee may be applied towards the $20 annual Registration Fee.

Auditioning by Video (out-of-area applicants only)
Video applicants seeking placement in Level I of our Professional Training Program (ages 10 and up) should mail the Ballet Fantastique Audition Form along with a full body photo of the dancer in 1st position en face (dancers with no prior ballet experience should contact Ballet Fantastique for further instructions).

Dancers auditioning by video for Intermediate and Advanced levels of our Professional Training Program should mail the above Ballet Fantastique Audition Form, the $10 Video Audition Fee, and a 20-minute video tape (1/2", VHS) that includes:

• Basic barre and center work, including adagio, pirouettes, petit allegro, and grande allegro, set to classroom music.
• A short variation, if available.
