Mr. Rempel’s compositions combine elements of jazz, classical, rock, and a variety of global music influences.

Mr. Rempel has served as Music Director for many Ballet Fantastique projects, including Dragon & the Night Queen, Pride & Prejudice, and Legends of Sleepy Hollow. In addition, Gerry Rempel Jazz Syndicate arranged and performed the music for Ballet Fantastique’s roaring 20’s Parisian Pride and Prejudice (world premiere 2013 + 2016 performances). As part of the University of Oregon Gospel Choir Band, Mr. Rempel played guitars for Ballet Fantastique's premiere of The Book of Esther: A Rock Gospel Ballet (world premiere 2014). Music arrangements included varied combinations of material, both contemporary and ancient, that draw from Celtic and other “world” music, including an infiltration of rock elements. Gerry Rempel Ensemble next collaborated with the internationally renowned musicians of Dreos to arrange and perform the music for Ballet Fantastique’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow world premiere in 2017.

Mr. Rempel holds a Masters in Music degree from the University of Oregon and a degree from the Music Institute of Technology (Los Angeles). Mr. Rempel is also a music instructor at Northwest Christian University, Guitar Center, and has his own private teaching studio.
