Meet Bethany

Bethany joins Ballet Fantastique as a Barbara Becraft Fellowship Apprentice from Corvallis, Oregon, where she studied at Corvallis Academy of Ballet since 2004. There, Bethany had the opportunity to study with Director Megan Skinner, as well as coaches Matthew Averill, Jutta Hardison, Kristin Jones, Mimi Chen, and Kathy Scharp. Bethany was a member of Willamette Apprentice Ballet since age 13, and performed numerous excerpts from classical ballets. Some of her more notable roles include: Dewdrop Fairy from The Nutcracker, Fairy of the Enchanted Garden from Sleeping Beauty, The Lovers from Les Patineurs and Captain, an original pas de deux choreographed by Matthew Averill. In addition to training at Corvallis Academy of Ballet, Bethany has studied at the Bolshoi Ballet’s Summer Intensive, Classical Ballet of Colorado’s Summer Intensive and The Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts Summer Intensive, where she had the privilege to study under Director Victoria Mazzarelli, Eleanor D’Antuono, Joan Kunsch, and Tim Melady in addition to performing in Nutmeg's Summer Dance Festivals.

Bethany is also attending Lane Community College.
