Jim's performance resume includes dozens of performances with the Shedd Institute of the Arts and Oregon Festival of American Music, including: On the Town; Anything Goes; Babes in Arms; South Pacific; Brigadoon; Kiss Me, Kate; White Christmas; Pal Joey; Girl Crazy; Sweet Charity; The King and I; Lady, Be Good; Singin' in the Rain; No, No, Nanette; The Music Man; Oh, Kay!;The Sound of Music, and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Jim has also performed at Cottage Theatre, Very Little Theatre, Lane Community College, and at the University of Oregon, and with Danceability International, including on tour to Washington, D.C. and to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Since joining Ballet Fantastique in 2013, Jim has performed the roles of: Mad Hatter in the world premiere of Alice in Wonderland (with High Step Society and violinist Brandon Vance, premiere 2018); Baltus Van Tassel in the world premiere of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (with Dreos + Gerry Rempel Ensemble, premiere 2017); the Genie of the Lamp in Aladdin: A Rock Opera Ballet (with Satin Love Orchestra, premiere 2017); the Wu Shu Master in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (with Oregon Mozart Players and DaXun Zhang, premiere 2017); Father in Scarlet Flower: Beauty & the Beast Retold (with Trio Voronezh, premiere 2016); Myrddin, King of the Fairies in Dragon & the Night Queen: Celtic Stories (with Gerry Rempel Ensemble & Eliot Grasso, premiere 2016); Bernard, The Sublime Clown in Cirque de la Lune (with Troupe Carnivale, Betty & the Boy, and Mood Area 52, 2015 performances and tour); Fairy Godmother's Boy in Cinderella: A Rock Opera Ballet (with Shelley and Cal and the Agents of Unity, 2015 performances); Peisander in The Odyssey: The Ballet (with live looping electric violinist Cullen Vance, premiere 2015); Bob Cratchit in An American Christmas Carol (with Halie Loren and her jazz band, premiere 2014 + 2015 and 2017 performances); Hegai, keeper of the women in The Book of Esther: A Rock Gospel Ballet (with the UO Gospel Choir, premiere 2014); and Bernardo and Don Tomas de Romeo in ZORRO (with the LA-based band Incendio and violinist-composer Kim Angelis, premiere 2013 + 2018 performances).
Also active in film work, Jim has appeared in local TV commercials and local dance films, including "Hot Jazz" (a collaboration with Ballet Fantastique and the electro-swing band High Step Society and dancer Amanda Coleman), and with Green Studio Productions in the major film Eight Types of Crazy.
