LIVE MUSIC from Dréos + Gerry Rempel Ensemble
the legend of sleepy hollow
BFan’s wickedly funny original dance theater adaptation of Washington Irving’s classic 1820 tale of superstition and rivalry. Would-be hero Ichabod Crane confronts his desires, fears, and—of course—the Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow—all in pursuit of his love, Katrina. Colonial American whimsy fuses with electric guitar and violin music.

babes in toyland
The holiday season launches with BFan’s block- buster Babes, glowing with retroglam choreography and bright whimsy. We spin Victor Herbert’s madcap fairytale mashup with hot jazz—and bring a lost holiday classic to life in splashy dance theater, filtered through the surreal sensibility of Fleischer Studios.

casanova
He was the world’s most notorious romantic: Giacomo Girolamo Casanova de Seingalt (1725–1798). A swashbuckler and master of disguise and wit, it was said that no woman could resist his charms. BFan brings you a new twist on an old story. In this richly-textured Venetian masquerade, anything can happen and no one is who they seem... You’ll love decadent costumes, BFan’s RomCom choreography storytelling, and some of the most beautiful music of all time.

robin hood: the ballet
England, 1191. Richard Lionheart has left the realm turbulent and bankrupt in his faraway quest for glory. In the King’s absence, sinister Sheriff of Nottingham claims power. Heroes rise to fight injustice...and they might just enjoy it. Enigmatic, unstoppable Robin Hood matches with brave, brilliant Maid Marian. BFan’s 2023 world premiere is irresistible dance theater, great personality, and a story where good wins.
