Meet Arabella

Arabella began her pre-professional training at the Academy of Ballet San Francisco under the direction of Zory Karah and Richard Gibson. While there, she performed in the Bluebird Pas de Deux from Sleeping Beauty, Balanchine's Mirlitons, and Les Patiineurs, as well as numerous pieces by Gibson such as Songs Without Words and Adagio for 10 and 2.  And in 2017, she had the opportunity to attend Boston Ballet's Summer Dance Program. In 2018, Arabella began her studies at the University of California-Berkeley and while there trained at Berkeley Ballet Theater under the direction of Robert Dekkers, where she received an award for Outstanding Achievement and performed in Balanchine's Serenade and leading roles in Robbie Nichols and Sally Streets' The Nutcracker and Dekkers' Rhapsody.

Arabella joined Ballet Fantastique as a Fellowship Apprentice in the 2019-2020 season, and was promoted to the Company in Fall 2020. In fall 2019, she began participating in Ballet Fantastique's rigorous teacher training program. From May 2020 to August 2021, she stepped into the role of Academy Coordinator & Company Manager while also serving as a full-time faculty member for the Academy of Ballet Fantastique.

In the fall of 2021, she returned to finish her studies in Public Health and Dance & Performance Studies at UC Berkeley and transitioned into the role of Outreach Coordinator and Covid-19 Safety Coordinator.

She is passionate about promoting social justice as well as emotional and physical health in dance, so that artists, dancers, and audience members feel that they belong and are welcomed performance spaces.
